Carina Nebula

First post here after a long break... and first photo that I am actually relatively happy with. Slowly we are getting there.

Carina Nebula (NGC 3372)
16x 180s, 10 darks, stacked with DSS
Full IR modded Canon 1200D + Baader UV-IR cut
ED80 guided with SPC900NC on finderscope on EQ5
Location: lightpollution central (no filters)

In excitement that things were finally working I completely forgot about the flats

My post-processing skills are seriously lacking but hopefully things will improve over time. Any hints would be welcome.

Special thanks to people from this forum who helped to get things working.

Very nice. I have a bunch of Carina neb data from last w/end but I'm yet to tackle the processing. My skills are also lacking there and really that's a big part of getting a good image. To my eyes it looks like you've done a great job.

Looks really good Luca. As the core of Carina is very bright it can be difficult to tame the brighter and fainter areas. You look like you have done that well
