A chicken portion IC2944

A portion of the Running Chicken IC2944, with Thackeray's globules, lower left.

Skywatcher 300PDS 12" F5 Newtonian, Baader MPCC MKIII, ZWO ASI 183mm Pro at -10C, Svbony narrow band 7nm Ha, OIII and SII filters, an hour each for Ha and OIII, 2 hours for SII, modified NEQ6 Pro. Full res at Astrobin ---> https://astrob.in/cjipc2/0/

The area is Ha dominant, so teasing out the OIII and SII was a task. In this more or less HSO palette, Ha is red, SII is yellow and OIII the magenta/pinkish regions.

Thanks Marc. I've been after them for months but have been side tracked with galaxy chasing.

Thumbs up

A really detailed and "relaxing" image for me maybe it is the delicate tones.

Thanks Peter. It has that ghostly look to it. Nothing dramatic.
