Autoguiding

Hi all,

I need some advice for what exactly I will need to autoguide with my setup. Even though I don't have all of it yet, I'm trying to get everything that I need so I can get my feet wet with DSO imaging ASAP.

I will be using my C8 with a ED80 piggybacked on a EQ6 pro. I am hoping to use my DMK as a guide camera so I hope that everything will work together and that it is a good setup.

Any advice or tips will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

If you're already getting the ED80 piggyback, and you already have the DMK, then you just need the GPUSB and guide software (like PHD Guiding).

Very easy to do, mine worked straight away.

Thanks Mike,

Where can I get the GPUSB?

Is PHD the best software to use for guiding?

Get the unit and the cable.

I don't know what the best software is, but PHD is free, and very easy to use. 4 clicks and i'm up and running.

Hi Matty,

I don't use the DMK but use the DSI II for guiding. Read here.
