Virgo Cluster-part there of

Nothing fancy just 2 hrs data captured EON110ED with QHY183c average seeing, moon LP etc, and dust bunnies to contend with while processing, even after applying flats etc

Field looks good and nice details showing through but there's posterization somewhere in the processing. I reckon one of your channels might be clipped. Worth a repro as the data is really good.

nice fields, i think you'd benefit from a repro - the flats haven't worked, it looks like some masking in the processing didn't come out too smoothly in terms of transition from galaxies to the background. don't think it is black clipped but the green channel black point is not aligned to the others.

definitely hard to pull off galaxies with the moon up and LP going on though but saying that I think you can squeeze some more out of this data from a bit of a reprocess if you've got the time.

cheers

russ

hi trevor, these galaxy fields always in part inspire me and otherwise make me feel even smaller and more insignificant ;-)

it's enough when seeing a speck on an image and thinking whoa it's a star larger than our sun, than a spec or small smudge and thinking it's a billion suns...the mind boggles
