CaII K3 image MiniSHG

The W47 filter finally arrived and I tried an exit slit (gaffa tape 1mm gap on the window of the camera.
Had to remove the ND0.9 filter to get enough light!!
The set-up certainly seems to have potential - there's a significant reduction in parasitic light.
sunspots AR 2905/6/7, Proms and filaments visible

I'll do further trials to see if I can refine the set-up further.
Onwards and Upwards.

Impressive results showing the progress that you are making Ken. Currently the Sun has much to offer and your method of imaging is delivering an effective record. Well done.

Gerard,
Thanks mate.
I think I'm getting pretty close....
This image is a little less exposure to show a bit more detail in the active areas.
