A couple of Moon vistas

A few pot shots of the Moon I haven't uploaded before. Most of them too big of IIS so here's a few links to Astrobin.

Skywatcher 12" F5 Newtonian and ZWO ASI 183mm Pro.

If this high level cloud clears, I'll try and get more tonight.

Beautiful! Excellent contrast without oversharpening or losing tonal range. Impressive detail. I'd be pretty proud of them if I were you.

Nice work!

Beautiful crisp lunar images, really like the Petavius image with Humboldt nearer the limb, don't see it imaged much. Also the Crisium image is well composed with lovely lighting angles to bring the terrain into relief.

Kevin,
Excellent high res lunar images with great contrast and colour
That big newt and the small 2.4uM pixels on your 183MM make a great combo to expose fine detail on lunar terrain
Well done !!

Excellent shots Kevin. #1 and #2 are my favorites.
You seem to have a vertical pattern on your last shot. Likely left over vertical lines in the video during registration.

Thanks Markus. I like them. But I do need a faster PC to capture and process them! My 10 YO i5 struggles.

Thanks Jeff! One would think after 50 some years I would know the names of the craters and regions better. Something I need to work on.

Thanks Martin. The 183 and 12" do seem to go well together. I was thinking of getting another planet cam, but the 183 might be the best suited perhaps.

Thanks Marc. I don't see the lines on my monitor. Might be a moire effect? I did have a bit of trouble processing this one. It might be over sharpened a little.
