MiniSHG-Multiwavelength -080921

Increased the scan rate to 9 sec!
Used a Ha 7nm filter as an ERF
The Na, Fe, Mg and CaK images were taken using an ND0.9 filter
I'll tweak them later....
Enjoy.

The way SHG's are evolving is amazing, If someone markets an affordable commercial version it will really give the manufacturers of etalon based solar scopes a shake up.

SHG comparison

The current MiniSHG - fits the hand and weighs just over 1Kg.
The SHG of 2015: Over 1 mtr in length and weighs over 11Kg.

I think, based on the current success of Buil's SOLEX concept, that the supplier of the optics, Shelyak, will commercialise the instrument in the near future.
I'd say it would sell for around $1500.
Self build 3D print or MDF housing around $600.

Good stuff Ken.This should be in the High school science curriculum.Although I feel science is getting relegated to abstract concepts these days.Look forward to more.
