Which one shot color CCD ?

Been out of astrophotgraphy for a while and looking to ease back in.

I have decent mono/LRGB ccd gear already. I would like a one shot color OSC CCD camera for those mid week or time poor imaging sessions.

Have not kept up with developments so hoping the group can shortcut my learning curve.

Whats the best One Shot color CCD around right now ? (I know this can be like starting a biblical debate but lets see if their is consensus)

Budget is around that of ST-8300 but can be stretched for right camera.

Needs to also accept canon EOS lenses and LP filter.

Cheers
Chris

In my case, SXVR-M25C, but I am biased, I have one.
Same chip though (I believe) in the QHY8, so a more cost effective variant is available.

I don't know what scope your trying to match to but I like the specs on the qhy 10 cameras. They have a hefty 45K well depth 6um pixels and there's one in the 4sale forums now.

hi Chris

Maurice who I think you know still swears by the QHY8 and he's not easily impressed. Whatever you choose, I hope we'll see you with it at Heathcote soon!

cheers
