Talking a fair bit activity on the sun

hi all

for those that are interested theres a fair bit to see on the sun today
sunspots everywhere

Bad case of zits there, I think I'd better get some solar film and make a filter.

Hi Phil, took the image only a few minutes ago. BTW did you see the moon pass therough the pleades earlier this morning. I got up and had alook at 4 but it was raining, then I got up at 5:30 and saw this.

I saw it briefly yesterday with Mike, I got out my PST to show him. Lots of very large prominences coming from the edge of the sun, saw at least two very big loops.

Got the ToUcam on the platform this morning, the seeing was pretty awful so I couldn't go much with the magnification, so just used the ToUcam at newt prime focus.

Got plenty of avi's, will have to process them all later today or tomorrow and will post results then. I tried to take enough to stitch a few together into a mosaic.
