dismiss if you're not using PE

Hello,

If you're using PE or planning too may I make a suggestion. As PE is a record of the track from combined weight and dimensions, it can be corrupted by changing the weight or balance of the scope setup.

If you're planning to use gear which will have more than a kilo in weight difference, or an optical path that is set higher away from the center of balance, that may cause problem for the PE.

If you can program more than one location for the mount, set the same location multiple times, with each representing a weight or balance change for your respective setups.

That way your PE track and assist should be a lot better, preemptive changes are really hard compared to post change that guide scopes give you.

Steve
Ps, Should give you something to think about if you are considering PE

Thank you Steve.
When I am serious I plan imaging thru a certain range and train the mount thru there once I have the balance happy...I rarely use auto guide because of problems that I could not trace but it seems it was my lap top ...so with a new lappy maybe I will get that sortted..however I have always worked very hard on making tracking work unassisted.
