Black Swans asleep on the water. Never knew they did that but it makes sense; fewer predators out there.

I've been in meetings today so the next photo will be of 'waffle'.

Unrelated to wasps, the next photo will have something to do with “ashes” in it…

Cheers

From the Ashes

This theme has sat for a while while we all thought about it. Turns out, for me solution was in the wood heater on my sun-deck. I thought it would be too acidic an environment, but some plants usually considered weeds seem to like it. I should leave it and see what, if any, the second generation of plants will be.
Trevor

Meanwhile The Next Photo Will Have the; "Essence of Home"

Essence of home

Essence of home of what was once a home ...

Took the wrong turn off the freeway on my way back from Canberra and found this lovely abandoned cottage.

Okay, here we go…a big, festive and happy crowd from the Brisbane Xmas Myer Parade and Light Show at City Hall.

The next photo will have something to do with “repeating patterns”.

Cheers

These are not the sharpest photos I've ever taken, but they do meet the criteria.
They were a long distance away when I spotted them as I drove along a country road.
Using the EOS600D and 70-300IS USM lens I managed to get a few picks but these are just about 15-20% of the original image area.

The next photo will have something to do with 'Looking Down'.

Nce one Al and Trevor!

Here is one I caught at the Rue de Richelieu in Paris, I have always liked bubble men:-). Now, the picture dosent do it justice but it was absolutely wonderful to see the little kids ( and grown ups) look on in fascination at the gigantic bubbles. Cute as a button they were…

The next pic will have something "tinier than a thumb nail"

Okay, here is an ant from our back garden taken 3 days ago. These are quite cute in that they don’t bite…

The next photo will have something very large in it.

Cheers

Those are some nice close up pictures Dennis.

As for something very large, here is Pyramid Mountain
Taken on New Years Day, while on holiday in my homeland of Canada.

The next photo will have something to do with "mystery".

Ok, here's the mystery: W??
What? Why?

In fact pretty well every railway sign for train drivers is a mystery to most not in the know, but what does a big yellow W mean?

The next photo will have some thing to do with "Graffiti" (preferably GOOD graffiti)
