price = $1450 from DCW
sample shots later.

david, its 150-500 DG OS HSM. I can get sharp pics hand held from about 1/200th up. or even lower if i am really steady

I havent used it much yet so i dont know how id go for lengthy shoots but its quite ballanced and easy to carry

i got severe vignetting at 50 so maybe they redesigned the lens to go from 150 to 500 to remove this problem. when i got mine they were retailing for 2800 and i got my 50-500 for a little over 1900, so the new price is fantastic!!. be good to see some shots from it, LOL macro of a bug on pole 100 m away

lol
I'd have to add an extention tube or 2 to get macro shots!
It focuses down to 2.2m and at that i should be able to get a finch to fill the screen top to bottom landscape.
