Colour calibration using G2V stars or PIS?

I am after some advice as to colour calibration of images.

I can either:

1) Use G2v stars to calibrate the RGB filters and expose each accordingly, or

2) Expose all filters equally, and apply PixInsight's Photometric Colour Calibration tool.

What is the best way to go in terms of effectiveness?
Regards

I'm using option 2. It seems to work quite well.

This is really good advice, I used this method in SiriL and re-processed one of my images and believe I got the sweet spot.

The camera may not be the best though.
