Whale of a time...

Fleeting clear skies and a waxing moon makes me wonder whether I'll get the
colour data ....hence luminance only thus far

my rendition of NGC55 ...might take a while for the technicolour version .

Wow. Stunning depth & clarity mate from not a whole heap of integration - I’m trying to add some more data to my version but that’s not an easy task…
Hope you can get some good sky next new moon!

Peter,
Great start showing what your incredible rig can do with just a few exposures
Also nice to zoom around the field and see literally dozens of faint fuzzies scattered between stars
Looking forward to seeing the final processed image, it’s going to be right up there ( if the weather and conditions are kind to you )

Brilliant as always Peter, I'm sure the finished product will be awesome, well done, many clear skies ahead.

Hi Peter,
that's looking great so far.
It would be worth some Ha as well to bring out the Red nebulas.

cheers

Thank you all for the positive feedback. With the AFFC the system operates at F6.0 which does give me a little more grief with skyglow gradients.

Pixinsight's dynamic background extraction tool is a must for urban imagers like myself.

Allan's suggestion of Ha data was already planned...and easy to do even with a partial moon.....just need some clear skies too

Your images always bring me back to just how wonderful the object is, without any contrivance. Love spending time moving around the bigger image too.

Superb LUM Peter. That's shaping up to be a corker when you manage some color. The details in the lanes are incredible.

Ta Marc...very kind...but needs a good deal more data m'thinks. Eric Benson did an excellent job on this one a while ago...got him a well deserved APOD.
Might be a hard act to follow....
