Solar animations

Yes we would have liked to have captured more and, for once, the weather was co-operating but this capture was 430GB and overflowed the capture drive. This was our mistake as it was a 1TB drive but we had left the previous night's data on it. As we always hope, we'll get it right next time

Hi Chrys,


Each video is 10 seconds long followed by a 20 second delay, giving 2 videos per minute. The ASI178MM is not a particularly fast camera and at full resolution we are only getting 60FPS. So each video has approx 600 frames and we are stacking the best 50 in each video. Both these animations are around 1 hour so 120 videos and each video is approx 3.6GB. The stacking with a master flat took a bit over 3 hours.
