Offset and Gain settings - FITS Header

Hi

this is a question for both ZWO and QHY owners.....as far as I can tell, neither the QHY or ASCOM driver for the QHY600 (and I suspect any QHY camera) records the assigned offset and gain settings in the FITS header. Has that been your experience?

how about ZWO cameras?

regards
Martin

I am sure I recall reading something similar about QHY cams not reporting that in the header, my ASI2600's do via Voyager, I just checked a light frame to see.

I use APT with my ZWO2600MC and you can customise the headers of your subs
I always have exposure length, Gain , Offset , temp and so on

Cheers

Likewise with NINA, you can have it add custom headers to either FITS or XSIF output files.

I have processing programs which can edit FITs headers but the use of non-standard entries is discouraged.
