Moon Occults Delta Scorpii

This only happened for us in the far north of Australia.

After noticing a bright star close to the Moon, I checked my Astronomy 2022 Australia and found that the Moon was due to occult Delta Scorpii in Darwin. Fortunately, it also happened here in Cairns, but I had to watch and hope, as I had no predictions for my locality.

The sky changed from clear to cloudy, but fortunately, I saw the event, which occurred only a second after the first image was taken. (The approach is shown in reverse sequence; Scope was a Skywatcher 62mm Evolux.)
