Excellent book , that’s why I gave it a plug
I bought mine nearly 5 years ago and still refer to it from time to time
I’m sure Bill is an IIS member too

Regards

Some of us also prefer using a 2 inch diagonal because it offers secure holding of binoviewers. Depending on your scopes focal ratio, using two inch eyepieces may require coma correction to achieve focused stars at the edge of their field of view. Fortunately, i have a relatively inexpensive 2 inch 30mm 80 degree eyepiece that shows good correction at the field edge, because I am using it in a f/12 mak.

Ordered "Choosing and Using Astronomical Eye Pieces” by William Paolini today, should make an excellent early Christmas present.
Has been a good week or two with mostly clear skies, not the darkest though.
I have a four day weekend coming up around 11-14 Dec so l might get away for the night to a dark sky location.
