Galaxies in Eridanus. Lum only

Gotta have a look around.

Who lives out there?

Interesting image Peter, lots of galaxies in the field. the finished image with added RGB! should be very tasty.
Have to ask though, are the 2 elliptical galaxies in the image NGC 1399 & 1404. The field looks very much like part of the Fornax Cluster, which is on the border of Eridanus.

Went hunting in Stellarium and found it is the Eridanus A cluster at approx 3hr 40' / -18 *30' , not the Fornax Cluster. Very nice all the same, if we ever get clear dark skies again this month will have to have look with the big dob.

Hiya Marc!

Yoh M!

Must have a chat about startools soon.
I applied the same recipe that Marc gave me to another target and it did not work at all.
It all came out very grainy and well, useless.

And yes M, the clouds have set in bigtime down here...

Regards U2
