Taking a risk

I live on an exposed section of coast waiting for cyclone Alfred to arrive. On Monday I went to have a look at the seas and took a camera on spec. I captured this trawler coming in and towing his nets (probably where he shouldnt) and only noticed later that I had caught a guy out on the rigging - probably because his netsvwere fouled on something. In those seas, he was taking a helluva risk.

That's one heck of an action shot Peter and I'm surprised the big brass ..... on that guy didn't overload the ship.
At sea you do what you have to and the poor guys doing much of the work don't get to make the decisions to just cut and run because that gear is expensive. Then again a lot of owners will try to save what they can to alleviate the expensive losses I don't think can be written off in taxes. I have a cousin who did it off West Australia for some time and got caught out in sinking boats more than once, it's amazing what JUNK some people will go out to sea in/on....

I've seen some very smart people do some really stupid things over the years, never had a camera handy though......

How is everything?
it must be terrifying with the threat inbound?
