Venus-Jupiter 1 May

Sunday's conjunction/appulse was quite stunning visually. The moment this arrangement cleared the horizon I knew this was going to be special. I used the ED 102 f/11 for visual, perfect choice. An 18mm Abbe at 62x gave the best view. I managed to grab some photos of it too. The composite is from 2 video streams of the whole field, only difference being the exposure time. High cloud put an end to my plan to keep observing throughout the day, but this was still great.

I understand separation was around 15'

Great images Mirko, especially the second one. It captures the moment really well.
