Ic 2948

Hi All,

Decided while trying to image Catspaw Nebula re-process this image of IC 2948. I do not think it was ever posted as I was disappointed with the focus. Recently new techniques with SiriL and Startools and final processing with Darktable and GIMP, I think I have some sort of rescue of the image. Lots of colour.

49 x 120 Lights
50 Flats
41 Biases

No darks and no Dark Flats. Saw a Youtube video which I can't remember the video itself now but I took the suggestion of not using darks as I do not have a regulated thermal system.

One day I will post something on my Astrobin set-up. Don't feel there are a lot of DSLR images on that site.

A beautiful wide field Malcolm.

I love to see that perspective, having invested in 'zooming in'.

Well done

Thanks, Peter, maybe the last post until I get a better camera. I think older DLSRs have lost their appeal on Iceinspace.

Meanwhile, I may still post DIY projects.
