Betelgeuse Supernova Explosion IS HAPPENING! James Webb Telescope

This just came up on my daily U-Tube feed, this is live from the James Webb. Seems they think Belelguese will go Supernova at 0245 (AEST) 08 Aug 2022.
Lets see how good their fortune telling is, I've got 15 min's to wait..

Well it's now 0300 and nothing happened, they just advanced the timer to 0315 for the explosion instead.

I got sucked in:-

This message appeared in the comments

"Y'all, this live stream started on April 6th"

So I'm going to bed, I'll watch the replay if it happens.

One thing I have learnt the hard way is if you find your blood pumping hard with excitement because of astronomy news take some time to check everything...I got caught with a Skywatcher April fools joke wherein they announced their new eight inch triplet refractor to be available at $10,000.

In fact dont believe anything until you have checked it over and over as , and this may come as a shock but some folk tell fibs on the net...

Hope you are well.

How could anyone predict a Supernova with that kind of accuracy though?

Perhaps you forgot to say “Betelgeuse” three times?
