Group photo from the first weekend with the flooded Brisbane River in the background. From left to right: Irwin Bischoff, Brendan Downs, Tony Surma-Hawes (firstlight, Registrar), Geoff Simpson, Marc Aragnou (multiweb), Denis Audet (Committee), Chris Cox (OneCosmos, Chairman), Patrick Madden.
Now that would'a given some fine views, I am sure!

It most certainly did. The Veil nebula was a spectacular sight to behold. I'd also like to thank Glen for introducing me to any number of beautiful planetary nebulae.

Can imagine! The first time I looked at the Veil seriously (always looked pretty meah the other couple of times I had given it a cursory glance), was back in 2019, through a 24" F4.2 under perfect (literally) dark skies out at Chillagoe 3hrs west of Cairns, it nearly blew me off the ladder, it was great fun scanning around the entire photographic expanse..was like a deep B&W image!

The view was quite superb and with the extra aperture and Chris adding a nebula filter, the structure really stood out incredibly well.
