NGC 3372 Carina Nebula Re Process

Diving further into Startools with OSC Narrowband Bi Colour processing via Compose
Here’s a few SHO and Interpolate versions from the Colour Matrix of NGC 3372 Carina Nebula from data acquired back in April on the South Coast NSW

NexDome Obs
8” f5 Bintel GSO newt
Skywatcher EQ6-R pro mount
ZWOASI2600MC set in Ascom to highest dynamic range Gain 0 , cooled to -10C
Optolong L Extreme filter
180 sec subs ( 2 hours )
No calibration frames
EQMOD and Ascom Stellarium for Goto and Nav
APT for frame focus and capture
PHD2 Multistar guiding
Stacked in DSS
Processed in Startools V1.7 OSC Linear data set ( OSC Narrowband Bi Colour)

Very nice image for 2 hrs worth, prefer the colour balance in Image #5, though #2 is a nice palette too.

I was more pleased with what Startools could do with NB OSC data to create some neat Bi colour channel blends, than the actual quality of the image itself. If I remember rightly guiding was poor that night so stars weren’t exactly tight and I did have some coma in the corners before I sorted that out weeks later with a spacer , definitely not my best Carina but stoked about the creativity of the end results
No pool room unfortunately, a few get hung up around the house down south

Can't pick a favourite...but as presented that would make a great print/artwork, perhaps for a hallway?.. would be rather Warhol'ish

Yeah, same - 1 and 5. You got some nice pinky red Ha tones there in #5.
