Venus in UV

While waiting for dark last Thursday night (which didn't come thanks to the Aurora Australis), I thought I'd have a play with the 8" dob and Venus. Not expecting much at all at prime focus (1200mm f/6) because regular cams won't come to focus with my ED barlow in the dob, I was sufficiently pleased to be able to record a little more UV detail than during my earlier attemps with the 120MM.

Untracked 8" GSO dob, ASI178MM, Baader U. Just these three items.

Pretty cool. My 178MM is collecting dust since I received it a month ago. And the grass keeps growing at a furious pace. I'm hoping for some clear skies soon.
