A farewell to Helix - for this year

Lockdowns and weather conspired to limit my time on Helix to 5 hours - 3 Ha and 2 OIII. So this image won't be completed till next year......this is a preview.
ASA10N, Moravian G3-16200, ASA DDM60 unguided.

I'm keen to try the helix but unfortunately my new gear hasn't arrived in time - so it's next year for me to even make a start lol. Your shot is lovely - the sort of result that I aspire to. Given that you have to sit on it for a year or so before you continue on, would you like me to fix up the noise in your original just for show and tell etc until you can continue on with it next year? What an exercise in patience astrophotography is lol Keep it backed up on multiple drives in the meantime!!!

Thanks for your comments, Dean.

I decided against noise reduction at this stage because I don't want to damage the fine detail in the core.

However, for some reason the image was not kindly treated by the iis reduction. I have re-posted the image, but it hasn't helped much!
Till next year......

You got a great deal in a short time. One notices the super-faint chevron at the top is quite distinct.

Nikolas,
Thanks for your comment. DDM mounts generally don't need guiding.

Mike,

Thanks for the comment.

M & T,
Thanks. I was surprised at the faint details. Next year.......
