I unscrewed one to many extenders on my APM UFF30 eyepiece. Now I have half a dozen pieces and for the life of me I can’t get it back together. Anyone able to help. I am near Maitland NSW.
I can't help with the eyepiece, I'm not familiar with it but the images, first they have to be smaller than 200KB, several programs to shrink the file size are available, also included with W10 and W11 I believe (I have 7 and use an external program)
Instead of clicking on "Submit New Thread" or "Preview" keep scrolling down till you see a box with "Manage Attachments", click on that and you can drag and drop the individual images into the area (can't drag and drop multiple images at once), simply drag an image up to the individual lines with "Browse", one image per line for a maximum of 8 from memory (new reply underneath if you need to add more than 8 images). Or, select "Browse" to search for your images.
It's much easier if you maximise the pop-up tab/window and when you finish dragging/browsing for your images don't forget to hit "Upload" and the images appear in the bottom of the thread as attachments.
I hope this helps!
I'll do a quick search on Google and see if I can find any information on the eyepiece, I either do that or I have to go out and find why my 60+ year old mower isn't running properly (removal of points and condenser doesn't help but I was given an electronic ignition module which doesn't work with my old Victa).
Hmm, Eyepiece search it is!
EDIT: I've done a Google search and can't find anything specific to that particular eyepiece, sorry!
I will search again later, after I get my mower going before it rains.
What I do know from disassembling too many camera lenses and other optical equipment is keep every individual element in it's correct order and be very careful not to invert any single elements. I recently had an issue reassembling an old Pronto lens off a Zeiss camera (1960 Ziess)where I said to my son if this one lens element drops I'll be in trouble. ME AND MY BIG MOUTH.
Thankfully I'd studied the curvature of the elements and am confident I got it back in the correct way. It's just going in my collection and I'll never put film through it but I am fussy when I pull things apart to fix them they go back together correctly.
It could be worse, an old lady friend just phoned me while I was searching, she took her useless 32 year old son out to fix a plumbing leak at a friends house after the friend was quoted $2500 by a plumber. (she told me about this plan the other day and I mentioned to my son it wasn't going to end well) Her useless son (who she won't let touch her own house plumbing, she always calls me if she needs help) smacked the water mains with a pick axe to loosen something and now there's a leak on the mains side. She wasn't happy when I told her she'll have to call the council for that one and NO, I can't come out and do anything about it mains side. "It's only a slow leak at this stage and the owner won't be paying for it" I'm sure like most plumbers and doctors they are just going to bury their mistakes.
You've done well Steffen, I read so much on stargazers and Cloudy nights but couldn't find a thing other than reviews (nor could I get my 63 year old mower going, nothing is built to last nowadays) lol.
