Wolf-Rayet star WR 22 Nebula

Hi Guys

I like imaging this object. Hope it's entertaining .
I did a bunch of NII on it too, but as usual its no different to Ha, so left out. Sometimes NII provides a novel aspect to a pic, but rarely.

Large version here

Wolf-Rayet star WR 22 Nebula in narrowband.
Taken on my RCOS 10" RC Scope at f9, SBIG STXL6303E Camera and PME mount at itelescopes Siding Spring Observatory.
Processed with CCDstack, Star Tools and Photoshop. 49 hrs Total exposure time with 3nm Narrowband filters. Ha, SII and OIII, all 60 min subs. RGB stars.

Wow. That's amazing. Double-plus good!

Cheers,

BTW - can anyone else see the Balrog from Lord of the Rings in there?

49 hrs on a single target is worthy of a compliment on its own; but I also love high res close ups of nebulas. great detail, hubble-esque
