Lagoon with fresh data

Quite similar to the last one I did but the RGB (taken over the last few days) matches the Ha field of view and the colour is a little more accurate with some blending of the Ha into the Red channel and also as a mild luminance. RGB stars were absolutely rubbish due to a bunch of light reflections from a nearby Halogen street light so used the Ha star profile and blended in what I could of the colour of the RGB stars. Details and big image here: https://www.astrobin.com/full/ma7vjb/0/

Skywatcher Quattro CF 8" Newt
ZWOASI1600MM-Pro
Skywatcher EQ6-R
Astrodon Ha 5nm and Gen2 Series RGB filters
All up about 12.5 hours of data from my Bottle 7 backyard.
Processed in PixInsight

Cheers. Took a little while, although I could go forever finding a nice/somewhat correct colour balance

I think I enjoy the image most zooming around it, rather than as a framed whole, or might just be a bit over Lagooned!

Excellent image, Ben. Lots of subtle detail and colour shifts in all that nebulosity.

Cheers,
V

Cheers. It’s been a long time since I was able to get more than 2 hours on a target so rapt to have 12.5 hours of data to deal with :-)

Thanks Greg. I reckon the stars are a little muted centrally but do like that they are small and gives the thing a nice scale!
