Video of Juno perijove pass

The video was made by combining a series of photos taken by the JunoCam and stitching them together into sequence.

Music by Ligeti.

Amazing, just amazing

Some technical details:

Quote:
The camera has 4 filters: red, green, blue and near-infrared. We get red, green and blue strips on one spacecraft rotation (the spacecraft rotation rate is 2 revolutions per minute, or 2 rpm), and the near-infrared strips on the second rotation.

To get the final image product the strips must be stitched together and the colors lined up
And then each image must be rotated, aligned and scaled and composed into a movie. I love the modern technology

Wow - that's awesome!

Surely the highest paid workers on Jupiter would have to be the meteorologists - imagine trying to forecast that weather...

Actually I think Jovian forecasting would be rather easy:

Today - cloudy with extreme storms
Tomorrow - cloudy with extreme storms
Rest of the week - cloudy with extreme storms!
