A POSITIVE Auspost occurrence

I bought an item on eBay before Xmas 2019. It was posted just after New Year 2020 from Bendigo to Canberra. Bushfires wrought havoc nationwide.

And then it disappeared in the system.

Fast forward to today almost 2 years since being posted. There along with some Tak stuff from Fry’s Turkish Delight ( ) was the long lost way way overdue item! Still in perfect shape.

2 years somewhere probably behind a shelf at the PO. Long enough for the printed address label to fade to almost unreadable.

Aus Post had reconciled the seller years ago and he refunded me. Now I have to try to track him down and pay him again (eBay doesn’t let you directly communicate after a certain period)

These are the sort of mishaps that happen. You can't help but smile when you get an outcome like this. You wonder if the package had a interesting journey all over the place or did it unfortunately sit on a shelf. Surprising outcome though considering AusPost was having an auction on undelivered unreturnable items. Pays to put a return address on things. Anyway good on you for trying to make it right with the seller

Since his address is on the back (nearly unreadable), I’m going to post him a gift card. It was only a $25 item but nonetheless.

That is wonderful news Leon.
Yesterday I went to Tabulam Post Office to mail a key down to my friends moving into the house so as to get rid of my car down there...the Post Master held back the truck so I could pack it and write on details of where it was going to... that is service for you.

Interesting but no fiction is required...I speak the truth.

Alex

I am surprised no one has worked this one out.

You are correct and I wish there was a prize as you deserve it thats for sure...most would have thought I was not serious rather than to engage "the riddle".

Well done but dont look down on those who must now look up to you.

Either it's travel over the International Date Line or Quantum Tunneling a parcel of electrons / faster than light travel.

Best

You have it but unfortunately you ran second..
Not that, that, should detract from you thinking it thru and coming up with the right answer and an opportunity to consider some interesting Quantum Physics.
Well done.

And all the anti vaxers will be saying "what is an international date line????"
What is the difference between an anti vaxers and a flat earther..one thinks the Earth is flat.
