What can l look at tonight?
Finally got my new focuser attached via a custom adaptor made by IIS member Josh, more on that later.
It's a clear night here in Perth, I'll be home from work in about an hour (1am) and I'll get the big rig out and see how good being able to focus properly really is.
Jupiter and Saturn are about, think that will do for tonight, it's damn cold and I'm tired.
I'll report how it all goes later.

Report: 0221.
I can SEE!
Not only that, l can see clearly, in focus.
Only looked at Jupiter, l haven't attached my finder scope yet. Everything got wet, very dewy tonight.

Well damn it if l didn't go and get my telescope fixed and sorted just in time for the wettest, coldest, windiest, and cloudiest part of the year.
Topped it off by buying a 2" 30 mm ep just to make sure it stayed cloudy.
Having mixed thoughts about my AR127L, it is what is is and I'm going to enjoy it.
With some nice things popping up in the classifieds l will weigh my ota, focuser and sd and see if l can sneak an ED72 onto it piggy backed.
Then, and only then will l know if my 127 optics are average or crap, because they certainly aren't great.
I did pick out Uranus which l think was fairly good.
Cloudy for a few more days still.

Edit. Despite the obvious aperture difference l consider the ED72 as a forever keeper, traveller and possible EAA foray in future years with a go-to mount.
Tell me I'm crazy!
