Older binoculars are valuable

I collect old Jap wide angle binoculars , Why ? because the extra wide angles are now not made !

Check these : `https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/14444411...53.m1438.l2649

Hey Bobby I know someone in QLD that does the same as yourself with old binoculars. You may want to hook up with him and see what he and you got.

Thanks Ian for the contact .

Alex ' I think it's the cost , oversized prisms , complex eyepieces etc

But there is one super wide angle binocular on the market now ' they are the Visionking 5x25 with 15deg FOV !
I bought a pair & was quiet pleased with there performance !

Bobby

Possibly there's enough interest in Bino's for a separate Equipment Discussion or "sticky thread"? Most people are terrified to touch them once they're "out of kilter". Count me in - they're fun and a good way to while away a wet weekend. Apart from a brilliant source of lenses and prisms for experimentation. (74mm f44 folded/utilising some quality bino parts?) There's a multitude off good Japanese glass out there just going begging.......
