DSS cannot read 600D raw file correctly?

Hi all,

Im using latest ver of DSS. When I try to stack photos in raw format the photos in "preview" mode before stacking shows it is a rectangular shape instead of rectangle close to square shape. I cannot stack with raw files and now I have to convert raws to jpgs first. Any idea about that?

By the latest version, do you mean the beta: 3.3.3 beta 51: (http://deepskystacker.free.fr/downlo...33beta51.rar)?

If so, do you have any problems viewing raw files in other programs?

If that doesn't work you might need to convert the files to tiff using Digital Photo Professional, which should've come with the camera :-)
Cheers

Thanks everyone. Tried beta ver. and it works really good. Now have to go to next learning curve how to process the photo in PS (and post process in DSS)...

Don't bother doing any post processing in DSS, I've personally found that it introduces noise into your image. Just use it for stacking only.
