Hi all, here's an image from this morning of Saturn with the bright storm, still going strong by the look of it!

cheers, Bird

This is the brightest Saturn storm in decades, if you get a chance to see it visually then take it, it may be one of the rare "Great White Spot" (GWS) outbreaks on Saturn.

Personally I think it's just jealous of it's big brother for taking all the attention lately :-)

cheers, Bird

Holy Cow!
Very nice. Very nice indeed!
Of course now I have to explain to my wife why it doesn't look like that in our 'scopes.

A truly splendid result Bird and what absolutely amazing structure within the storm, these really are the times that planetary imagers dream of.

Looking forward to capturing the progress of this very special storm as it evolves and hoping that it has a long life. Reckon some co-operation from the weather will be right up there on both of our Christmas wish lists.

Regards
Trevor
