Chooseing a camera for lunar and planetary photos

I want to get into takeing pictures of the moon and mayby the planets does anyone know of any camera that i can use for this without spending thousands of dollars??? any help would be great

you would probably choose a mono camera such as the imaging source 640 x480 pixels ( 3-400 ish) or a little more upmarket is the dragonfly stuff.

i use the imaging source camera, the downside is that color filters are needed for jupiter etc, but the moon is black and white mostly so unless you uber crank up the color its irrelevant.

of course you will then want a bigger scope, couple of televue powermates, filter wheel , filters..... argggggh

What scope are you going to use it on?
How serious do you want to get into it?
What's your budget?
Do you want mono+filters, or one shot colour?

Well i would be useing a 10" skywatcher dobsonian on a EQ6 mount
I really want to take pictures of the moon and document as many craters as possible for the planets i would love to take alot of saturn pics and some jupiter
Well im not to sure about my budget yet i am open to most prices besides like stuff over 10K
I would like to use filters
