ST4 and Eq3-2

Hi there,
I weighed up a few options and the two of them left are buying a Star Adventurer Pro kit or an Eq3-2.
Reason being is that I want to keep the weight of the gear to the bare minimum.
Wide field deep sky photography will be my main goal.
Auto guiding will be possible on the Star Adventurer but only on RA using a guiding cam and ae small scope through ST4.
With the Eq3-2 it is possible modify and implement an ST4 port.
The question is:
is it possible to connect the Hand Controller with the implemented St4 Port to the St4 port of the guiding camera or do I need some sort of other interface to be able to autoguide?

Thanks in advance

I suggest to get a EQM-35 and all troubles gone. Exceedingly light and portable and tracks quite well

Just make sure to flash the firmware (motor control especially) and firmware to the latest as it hs the correct tooth count for RA

It's a surprisingly good mount, and a smart upgrade to the old EQ3. Plus it can be modded with the supplied parts into a camera tracker.
