Comet Leonard at Christmas Eve

Finally got a mostly clear sky here in Newcastle. I was amazed at how bright it was even in bright twilight. Managed 26 x 20 secs ISO1600. 10 inch f5.6 Newtonian. Taken on Christmas eve.
Its a special comet. My dads first name is Leonard and we lost mum about a month ago, they were married 61 years. So the comet is a fitting tribute. The brightest comet I've seen in years.

Great image Scott. It must have been the night for it, same night I was out and got a good result. Well done, a special celestial event for you and your family.

Thanks for sharing your story Scott. Even more special that your picture was taken on Christmas eve.
