It has been asked for before, but I thought of giving the pot another stir

IIS is the last of my regular online hangout places not to have this feature and I'm finding it more and more a miss. My logic is simple, I look at great images or fantastic explanations all the time and would very much like the opportunity to leave a to the author without posting a comment and filling the thread with irrelevant noise!

I'm not a fan of down-voting buttons - they just cause agro...

You can rate the thread with a variable like. It's at top right. Were you thinking of a different sort of thing?

I also read a lot of stuff here and often don't have the time to comment - pretty much everything you said anyway.
