Orion xx12g (12inch) GOTO Truss Dob with Synscan v4
In excellent condition and delivers spectacular views... however, I had the smart idea of updating the hc firmware to v4.39.15 after which it refuses to acknowledge the RA/Azm motor unit!!
Up to this point it was tracking beautifully and excellent GOTO accuracy. The views through this are so clear and bright and some of the best I've ever experienced. Everything powers and lights up but the error means the motors won't move but can still be used perfectly as a standard non-GOTO dob. Because it is collapsable (and even the base can be dismantled) it is fairly easy to fit in any vehicle.
I'm pretty convinced from reading various forums on CN etc that the issue is not permanent and I've had a sparky friend of mine check over the electronics and seems to be no issue there. Many others who report a similar issue with Synscan update seem to be able to either swap cables or re-flash the firmware to resolve it. I also suspect that if it is reset back to original v4.36.x it may all come back on line. After several goes at it I'm just running out of time and patience (and space!) and have several other setups already - so I'm really hoping someone can give this beautiful scope another go.

New cost of these is over $3k, and the non-GOTO 12" dobs about $2k so I feel this is fair but am open to offers.
