Question re Narrowband Imaging Filters

Hi All,

Please excuse what maybe a silly question, but with regards to narrowband filters used for imagaing, where exactly are these placed when in use? Are they simply laid over the front of the scope?

Any and all info would be greatly appreciated.

They're usually placed in the caddy of a filter wheel by screwing them into the holes in the caddy. They're then attached to your scope followed by your camera.....all with the appropriate extenders, T-rings etc, to allow your camera to achieve focus on your scope.

That all attaches to the end of the scope you observe through....naturally enough, you can't observe through there when imagining.

So as long as the filters are in the optical path they can be anywhere ?
Ideally closest to the camera ? Or is that not important ?

Ive been wondering about this also.. I got an SLR adapter (apparently EP copatable) but none of my EPs fit :-(
.. and all my filters seem to want to screw onto an EP.. ??

(sorry guys just realised original post was re: imaging filters.. doh..)
