Solar Activity in Ca K and Ha October 25

After setting up early I waited for the Sun to clear the trees and persistent low cloud. The atmosphere was quite turbulent with only moments of fair seeing. Details in Ha and Ca K were visible featuring AR 2887 and AR2886. I also noted some prominence activity both in Ca K and Ha.

Lovely images Gerard
The Ca K images really highlight the regions around the spots.

Richard.

Thanks Richard, John and Anthony your comments are much appreciated. Good thing that I did this imaging yesterday. Very sunny today as well but the sky is full of whispy cirrus clouds.

I enjoyed looking at these Gerard, some lovely detail that really display the dynamics of what is going on in our very own star.

Cheers

Thanks David, Jeff and Dennis. Your comments are appreciated. Let’s hope the clouds clear away and the seeing improves for all of us to get a more detailed look at this active region.
I have done a little more processing on that Ca K prom in an attempt to show a few more details.
