Alignment stars selection

I am using Celestron AVX and I use combination of Vega, Alpha Centauri, Hadar, Altair, Peacock and Arcturus as Alignment and/or Celebration stars.
When viewing starts, planets or other DSO objects, most of the times my alignment is slightly off-centered.
What could be the cause?

Thanks

With my HEQ5Pro I am using Hadar and Altair.
For the last 2 nights (Friday and Saturday) they worked perfectly for me.
When slewing to let's say the Sculptor Galaxy., I still had to re-adjust the framing but at least it was in my FOV. I think that is pretty common.
