Bulb Ramping for Timelapse

Interesting thread on 'LR Timelapse' forum:

Whether a bulb-ramper is a useful device to achieve the 'holy grail' of day-to-night timelapse.

I thought about getting a little Bramper, looks useful if you can set it up to work properly.

There were some bramper units being developed on kickstarter a while ago. Perhaps they are close to being sold now. Worth a look.

I tried Trigger Trap which worked to a degree but the problem with that was it couldn't increase the exposure time back to 30 seconds ISO6400 once dark so it did the transition OK but then the dark shots were badly underexposed.

I saw a unit being promoted the other day that was a wireless controller for DSLRs and I think that had a time lapse and possibly bramping function in it. It was US$299. I'll see if I can find the link.

Greg.
