I am trying to bed in my Edge9.25 and decided to try for NGC4925.
Edge9.25, with 0.7 reducer and 1600 mm FL
32 by 120s (around an hour) shots, darks, flats and bias
ASI 2600 MC, no filters, guided with .04 rms error, ASIAir multi star guiding seems to work.
At the moment I can't get a good v-curve on my EAF focuser. With my Esprit I can get a focal point at around 3 FWHM but on the Edge it won't go below 5 now.
Also, the collimation is not great, but I have ordered some bob's knobs.
Still, amazing what you can get from inner city Sydney Bortle 9, in a park, under a full moon, with no filters. The ASI 2600 MC is a great camera.
The image is good enough for me to continue with the edge and try and sort out the collimation and the focusing. Otherwise it is only good for planets and viewing which would be a pity.
I would love to get some galaxies at the full 2300mm FL.
Great effort there from your Bortle 9 city location and a long focal length scope
Yeh your image train needs a tweak , stars are slightly ovoid
Agreed the 2600MC is an incredible camera, mine surprises me every time I image
Well done !
