Pano Stitch of Mount Lindesay

Howdy,

I tried a pano of 9 portraite's at 20mm to capture the whole scene of the Milky Way streaching over Mnt Lindesay, , !
At that, i think the composition was a good one to chase. But, yes, but, I think my execution of the frames have left some undesired effects on the milky way, Or maybe I need double the frames for a better result

I know whats there but I post this image for in the hope for feedback on the points of,,,
1) Are the stitching effects obvious ?
2) Can you see any obvious distortions and/or anomalies etc in the galaxy itself ?

Thanx in advance for any feedback, ideas or advice,,,

Great stuff Bob .Me and the better half were up at O,Reilly’s last week looking out and I was actually wondering if anyone had done a shot like that.
I got caught up with the Fungi up there.
Cheers Derek

The size of the image is too small to actually see any anomalies. They might be present on the full size one

Good point, Ryan, I will aim to post some larger scale sectional crops when I find time, day or two ?
I can however see one major anomaly in the small image above, quite apparent & obvious too, happens a lot with clouds when stitching sunset/rises ect with wide lens's

Yeah I can see quite a few stitching artefacts.... just look for the duplicates

Nice picture though, and you'd only pick those up if you knew what you were seeing or were studying it in detail.

In the small image I can only notice subtle vertical blending lines.

What does standout a bit is the transition from edge of landscape to sky is harsh. Did you join a separate landscape to the sky? It could be softened with the blur brush in Photoshop.

Greg.

Cheers Greg,, not a seperate foreground, I think what your seeing is the result of 'sharpening the small Jpg for posting, it helped the stars quite a bit, maybe over done a smidge or I could mask the foreground out, plus my eyes aren't getting any younger
The full size Jpg image is near 50MB & approx 15,000 pixles wide,, reduce that for here and the stars are real soft
Appreaciate your input ...
