Minh at MLAstro has developed and built a CNC machined aluminium housing for a versatile new "Mini SHG"
This housing allows the use of the Shelyak Sol'Ex optics as well as other options designed to improve performance at longer telescope focal lengths. His 75mm compound lenses seem to work very well with fl around 1000mm.
The quartz slit plate (7micron slit x 7mm high) allows the SHG to be used with refractors up to 150mm aperture WITHOUT the need of an additional ERF. That's a significant cost saving.
All in all promises a bright future for multi wavelength Solar imaging with the SHG.
