Thanks for that image Phil. I have had the pleasure of traversing the Simpson Desert from west to east and the nights out there are the best I have experienced anywhere, Thanks for the reminder. I am too old to do the trip again but I appreciate your sharing.

Glen, I have had the pleasure of that W-E journey myself about 4 years ago; one of the highlights was the biggest and longest lasting bollide I have ever seen; nearly went from west to east horizons and spilt into 2 pieces on the way.

That journey got me into nightscapes, a full frame camera, etc.

Good shot Phil, its amazing how much light there is in the sky when no light pollution around.
