Losmandy plate for ed120 scope

Just purchased Skywatcher ed120 APO.
Currently have an 11" Universal Losmandy plate (wide saddle) that i am using with my 80ed scope, mounted on to EQ6 pro mount.

Would i need a longer plate to minimize flexure when imaging with the ed120 or is it overkill? the only other equipment that sits on top of scope is a modified 9x50 finder/guidescope.

Regards
Carl

Thanks Brendan
Much appreciate your comments and link. So is anyone out there imaging with the same setup as me and using the same length plate?

I was using a vixen plate with an ED80 and had no issues.
Have moved to a 105 but haven't tried it on anything but the moon yet.
